Homemade Play dough
We love homemade playdough in this house! It is my number one boredom buster for kids and a sure fire way to stop whining in its tracks (at least 80% of the time)!
I use several different recipes to make my homemade playdough. Which one I use really just depends on what ingredients I have on hand. This is my basic go to recipe!
Homemade Playdough-
Ingredients-
2 cups plain flour
2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
1/2 cup of salt
1 1/2 cups of hot water
food coloring
Directions-
Start by getting all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. In a separate bowl mix the hot water and your food coloring. The more food coloring you put in the darker the color. Next mix in the vegetable oil into your water and food coloring mixture. Now pour your water/food coloring/and oil into your dry ingredients mixture. Mix well. It will start to clump up. Once you get it all mixed up , roll it into a ball. If it is to wet you can add some flour, if it is too dry you can add a little more water. Knead it a couple of times and then set it aside to cool. Once it has cooled off you are ready to play with it! I store mine in a tupperware or a ziploc bag.
