Homemade Spaghetti Os!
I have been working on a week of fun kids meals for next month to help all the parents get ready for those summertime lunches. I am still going to do that but when I made this recipe for homemade spaghetti os, I knew it couldn’t wait! It was way too good!
I think my husband and I were more impressed with it than my kids were but both of us grew up on spaghetti os! My kids have never been fond of them. That was one of my favorite lunches during the summer. I think my brother and I had them almost everyday.
I have tried other recipes for homemade spaghetti o’s and they really disappointed me, so I was a little skeptical of this one.
But let me tell you it was sooooooooooooo good! This recipe from Chocolate Covered Katie was so simple and easy, it was like magic!
I had not planned on eating a whole bowl. I was simply going to taste test it and then let the kids have the rest for their lunches. Well I did give the kids their bowls, but I ended up eating a lot more than a bowl full myself! I just couldn’t get over how much it tasted like my beloved spaghetti os of my childhood. It was just crazy!
So why you ask did I look for a homemade version instead of just using coupons to go and get the cans pretty cheap?
When I make it at home I get a lot more quantity for my money, I know exactly what goes in it, and I can make healthier tweaks to it if I want.
With a family of 5 (with some food allergies and sensitivities) all of these things are super important to me. If any of the above reasons are important to you then I really want to encourage you to give this recipe and others a try!

I used these cute little pastas when I made mine (they were on sale and adorable so I grabbed them). Next week when I make this I am going to try some different kinds of pasta out.
