We love a good fruit smoothie recipe! This smoothie also has a Secret Agent ingredient hidden in it to add a nutritional kick to it!

What is a Secret Agent Ingredient?

A Secret Agent Ingredient is an ingredient that adds nutritional power to a recipe but does not add overpowering flavor. It is a creative way to add in foods that your child (or yourself) may not normally go for. The Secret Agent Ingredient is usually in small amounts, but the way I look at it all those small amounts add up! What is the Secret Agent Ingredient in this smoothie  recipe? Pumpkin puree! You can make your own using a fresh pumpkin or you can find some great pumpkin puree in a can at your local grocery store. Just make sure you get pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie mix.

Rootin’ Tootin’ Fruity Smoothie Recipe!

  • 1 Tbsp pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen peaches
  • 1 Scoop of my favorite protein powder (optional)

Blend everything together until smooth. If you need to add more liquid to not over work your blender go ahead.  Serve and enjoy!
