Smoothie Love

These smoothies are so good , they are scary!!!Ok well maybe not scary but what is scary is most kids don’t get enough fruits and vegetables everyday. The same holds true with adults! Why? Because it is hard to compete with the junk food of the world. So what is a typical person/parent /caregiver to do?
Why not try a fun and tasty smoothie like one of these?
It is a great and fun way to get in some extra fruit and veggies!

Some smoothie tips-

-Start out making it with fruit juice ( as your liquid) and then slowly switch over to almond milk (or other nondairy milk) or water.

-Start with more fruits than veggies.  You can slowly start to even out the ratio as you go but you want to get used to the taste and texture of smoothies first and then go for the health aspect of them.

-If dealing with children , try to give the smoothie a funny name and be upbeat about their “special drink”.

-If textures are issues play around with how long you blend your smoothie for. The longer the smoother!

Remember- Slow and steady wins the race!
