Everyone Loves a Little Sunshine!

Do you know what one of my favorite things about starting my blog is? It is that I have met some really amazing women along the way that I have been able to start developing some great friendships with. One of these really cool women is Kim @ This Ole Mom. Recently she left me a comment saying she had nominated for the Sunshine Award. I  clicked over to her site to check it out  and fell in love with the  Sunshine Award.

Why? Because  here at Adventures in Mindful Living we are obviously all about being mindful in everything from cooking to even the relationships in our lives. So to me taking the time out to learn some  things about  my new friends seems like a wonderful thing!

11 Random Facts about myself:

1. When I was younger I wanted to be a large animal veterinarian, and a fly girl on the weekends  ( if you dont know what a fly girl was google it and make sure you put  In Living Colors fly girls). Yes the fly girl thing still makes me giggle, and don’t tell my mother I wanted to be a fly girl. We were not allowed to watch in Living Color but I  was sneaky and watched it anyway!

2.My favorite color is yellow becasue it makes me happy.

3.  I am a sap for animals. When I was little I drug home every stray animal I could find ( still do, all of our pets are strays and pound puppies).

4.I like to dance in my kitchen all the time, all by myself. And I don’t mean a little swaying back and forth. I mean really breaking it down- which is why I do it by myself so as not to scare the other people in this house. I think it has something to do with that fly girl thing I said above.

5. I am a post it note fanatic. I love them and when I found a huge pack a tour local dollar store you would have thought I hit the lottery.

6.I love finger painting with the kids. I like the feel of the paining on my finger tips.

7. I have no tolerance for racism or judgmental people. I just have a hard time with that kind of ignorance.

8. My first horses name was Sweet Pea. She was a little Shetland Pony. She would let me run up behind her and jump up on her back  just like a circus performer. I thought if I ever ran away I could go to the circus with her and make a killing.

9.I am married to my high school sweetheart.

10.My favorite thing to do on Saturday morning is have cofee with my husband and watch HGTV.

11. I wouldn’t change anything in my past becasue I feel like all of it ( the good ,bad and the ugly) have made me who I am except for one thing. I would have had a closer relationship with my brother growing up and not waited till we were adults to see how awesome he really is.
