Jeremy’s Favorite Fried Rice Recipe
This is my husbands favorite fried rice recipe. If he is having a bad day I whip this up and I am almost always guaranteed a smile. The great thing about this recipe is it is easy to make a large amount so you will have leftovers for a day or two. This is also a eggless fried rice recipe which takes some of the cholesterol out of the traditional fried rice recipe. ( It also make this a vegan fried rice recipe for my vegan friends!)
Play around the amounts of ingredients until you find your perfect fried rice recipe!
Jeremy’s Favorite Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
1 TBSP oil (vegetable works fine but use whatever oil you are comfortable with)
1 onion finely diced ( less if you are not a huge onion fan)
4 carrots peeled and finely diced
2 cups frozen peas
3 TBSP of Braggs Liquid Aminos (if you don’t know what this is see the picture below picture)
1 TBSP Sesame seed oil
5-7 cups cooked rice
1.Make sure you have your rice cooked. I always like to cook mine in the oven and make extra for some veggie sushi!
2.Start by getting your oil heating in a large skillet.
3.Once your oil is pretty warm put in your onions and carrots. You want to let them cook for a few minutes till they start to get soft.Add in the Braggs Aminos and half of the sesame oil. Let the carrots and onions continue to cook for a few more minutes.
4.Add in the frozen peas and stir gently.
5.Next add in your cooked rice and the rest of the sesame oil. Stir gently in incorporate the rice and the other ingredients.
6.Taste the fried rice. Feel free to add more Braggs or more sesame oil. Just remember a little goes a long way! So add and then stir in and give it a minute and taste again.
7.Enjoy!
Braggs Liquid Aminos is a healthier substitute for soy sauce.
